The Daughters of Divine Mercy hosted a dance at Franciscan University on Friday at 9 p.m. in the J.C. William’s Center.

The theme of the household dance was Cowboys and Indians. Many students that attended the dance dressed in plaid and overalls.

The Daughters of Divine Mercy hosted a dance last year with the same theme.

“A friend of mine suggested it to me last year and the dance was a smashing success,” said Elizabeth Philipps.

Elizabeth Philipps and Nicole Michell help assist and operate the household. They both have a divine love for Jesus Christ and love to spread the famous saying, “Jesus, I trust in you.”

Michell said, “We voted on the dance as a household and thought it was cute.”

The household has a reason for why they continue to follow Jesus Christ.

“Our household trusts in the Lord’s mercy,” Michell said.

Philipps added, “We reflect on the mercy of God throughout our prayers.”

The household collected donations from the dance to raise money for their prayer retreat.

“Our household has a retreat every semester,” said Michelle. “During the retreat, we focus on sisterhood and our covenant.”
