Daughters of Divine Mercy women’s household hosted their annual electronic music dance party from 9 p.m. to midnight on April 1 in the J.C. Atrium.
The first song played was “Let’s Groove” by Earth, Wind, & Fire, followed by “Boogie Wonderland.” Other songs played during the dance included “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins and “Cupid Shuffle” by Cupid.
The DJs s for the night were Mandy Baez, Liz Christiansen, Mary Smith and Brigid Utz.
At the entrance to the dance floor, participants were given free glowsticks and necklaces to wear while dancing.
The J.C. was decorated with red, white and blue streamers and balloons for the dance. Snacks, including candy, chips and salsa and cookies, were also laid out on a table for participants to enjoy.
Annie Cuccinelli, a member of the household, said that she was very happy with the event’s turnout, adding that there was hardly enough space to dance with all the people present.
Junior Collin Piser said, “I think the party is awesome. Good turnout, Fun people … (I am) happy to support DDM.”
