Fans of the series “The Chronicles of Narnia” filled Pugliese Lecture Hall to test their trivia skills Thursday evening at a trivia night event.

The trivia event was hosted by the Franciscan University of Steubenville chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society.

“The Chronicles of Narnia” by C.S. Lewis is a fantasy series that tells the adventures of a group of children who travel to a mystical land called Narnia and embark on various missions to preserve Narnia and defend it from enemies with the help of Aslan, the creator of Narnia.

There were two rounds of trivia, each with a prize. The winner of the first round of trivia was Magdalena Kyne, who went under the username “Mag.dilemma.” She won a box of markers.

The winner of the second round was Monica Forsthoefel, who used the Narnia character Lucy’s name as her username for the event. She won a black Exceed notebook.

Each round took place on the Kahoot platform and consisted of 40 questions. Questions ranged from topics such as trivia on C.S. Lewis himself, trivia on events that happen in the books and trivia on the series’ many Christian allegories.

Some trivia included how humans are called “Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve” in the world of Narnia; how one character, Professor Digory, is based on J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of “The Lord of the Rings” series who was friends with Lewis; and how the character Aslan’s name means “king” in Turkish.
