There were old faces, new faces, kids running around and dogs barking. The delicious smell of apple pies, pulled pork and fresh popcorn filled the air on Sept. 28 in the JC Pavillion.
Francis Fest once again succeeded in bringing the community into one place to enjoy and celebrate the gift of Franciscan University.
The festival had something for everyone, from households offering memorabilia and other goods for purchase, to information booths showcasing the university’s tremendous growth over the years. Even a kid’s kingdom decorated the Pavilion with bouncy houses, games and prizes.
Francis Fest is a special event for all those impacted by the university. Families traveled from across the country in order to partake once more in the beauty, warmth and grace that Franciscan University provides.
During the event, many alumni reunited with past households and old friends, reminiscing on the glorious memories shared within campus. With all the families walking around the university, the whole school seemed more alive and at its fullest.
Senior clinical psychology major Emma Girod remarked, “It was fun. A lot of people showed up.” Senior sacred music major Katie McCarron said, “J’adore (I adore) Francis Fest.”
Another great Francis Fest has come and gone; a celebration like no other. We look forward to the next one.
