Franciscan University Student Government agreed during its Nov. 6 meeting to cover the travel cost for noted theologian and speaker Peter Kreeft’s talk next semester.

Fall Bill #31 allocated $250 to the Veritas Society to pay for Kreeft’s travel to Franciscan University next February. According to the bill, the Veritas Society plans to fundraise the additional expenses for Kreeft’s visit and was asking Student Government to only pay for travel.

The bill passed unanimously.

During the meeting, President Derek Markle said that senators would soon receive budget forms for the spring semester that then need to be given to the various clubs planning on applying for a budget with Student Government in the spring. The forms are due no later than Nov. 20.

Student Government will next meet Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. in the St. Leo Room.
