Italian fashion icons speak out in favor of traditional family

Renowned Italian designers of the luxurious fashion line Dolce & Gabbana have received a great amount of criticism after making several statements in support of traditional marriage during an interview with the Italian magazine Panorama.

“The only family is the traditional one,” said fashion icons Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. “No chemical offspring and rented uterus. Life has a natural flow; there are things that cannot be changed.”

Their courage to speak out boldly against gay marriage has emboldened the children of gay parents to speak their minds on this issue as well.

The Catholic News Agency reports that Monday “six children (now adults) raised by same-sex parents in the United States wrote a letter supporting the designers, thanking them for speaking up for the rights of children to both a mother and a father.”

Those who signed the letter said that through what they have learned through their own life experiences, they have come to believe that children are best raised in a family with a mother and a father.

This letter was published on the blog, authored by a woman who calls herself the “bigot.” The author was reared by her mother and her mother’s lesbian partner. She became a Christian during high school, and today she writes about her experience of having same-sex parents. Due to the fact that this author is often silenced by the gay lobby, she feels strongly that the opinions of Dolce and Gabbana should not be silenced.

“We, a gay couple, say no to gay adoptions,” said Dolce and Gabbana. “Enough chemical children and wombs for rent. Children should have a mother and a father.”
