LAX Claims the Win Over La Roche 

The Barons took down the Redhawks in a deafening home victory on March 4. Fired up and ready to go after two previous losses, Franciscan won 24:0. 

The Barons balanced out the numbers to form an effective offense. Nine different players scored against La Roche. No. 0 James Messo tallied five goals and nine assists. No. 7 Pio Kirk was only one behind Messo on the leader board. No. 4 Joseph James and No. 28 Joe Delee both had three as top scorers. 

The Barons took 57 shots during the game. 24 making their way into the goal. Only three goals were unassisted by a fellow teammate. The 21 assists is a seasonal game high for the Barons.  

No. 13 Samuel Chipps won 11 faceoffs and No. 2 Joseph McCarron won 10.

But offense was not the only weapon the Barons attacked the Redhawks with. Defense caused a game high for the 2026 season of 14 caused turnovers. They also won 58 ground balls. 

This  non-conference win will hopefully ignite the Barons to prepare to face Wabash College on Saturday, March 7 for the first time ever as a program.
