Everyone who loves coffee has a go-to spot for their morning cup. From on-campus options to local cafés, there are many places to grab anything from a latte to straight black coffee, and some students on campus shared their opinions.

Joseph Schratz, sophomore business major, said, “Locally, I’d say Leo’s for sure. They have a great atmosphere, in-house fresh roasted beans, and make the best espresso-based drinks in town.” Though Schratz added that he prefers making coffee with friends.

“Best coffee spot is by far Clear Creek in the JC because of the various options and unique flavors,” shared sophomore business major Cy Yvars.

Sophomore theology and clinical psychology major Maria Madden responded, “The best place to get coffee is Tri-B’s Coffee Shop in downtown Toronto. The coffee is good quality, and their seasonal menus are creative. It can be a cozy and different atmosphere to go and spend the whole afternoon doing homework.”

Agreeing with Madden, junior education major Nikki Werthmann said, “Right now, I really like Tri-B’s. They make really cute and yummy drinks … The vibe of the coffee shop itself is more relaxed than other coffee shops.”
