Men’s Cross Country
Baron runners took the top three individual finishes in the AMCC Championship Nov. 2, and the team took the number one spot overall to win the championship for the second year in a row. At the NCAA III Mid-East Regional meet Nov. 16, the Barons placed 13th overall, with junior Liam Galligan placing ninth out of 360 runners. Galligan will continue to the national meet on Nov. 23.
Women’s Cross Country
The Lady Barons took second place in the Nov. 2 AMCC Championship, in which all seven runners placed in the top 15. Advancing onto regionals, the team took 27th place Nov. 16, bringing the season to a close.
Women’s Tennis
The Lady Barons tennis team won the AMCC Championship for the fourth year in a row, a historic legacy for the team and for the school. The team’s 5-0 win against Medaille College Oct. 21 rounded out an undefeated conference season. The team now begins preparing for the NCAA Tournament in the spring.
Men’s Rugby
After dominating Xavier University Saturday, Nov. 9, the Baron ruggers took down St. John’s University Sunday, Nov. 10 in the Elite Eight match of the Central Region Championship. The Barons defeated the reigning team 52-18 and will now continue to the NSCRO National Championship Final Four in April 2020.
Women’s Volleyball
After winning their last regular season match against Hilbert College, 3-0, the Lady Barons volleyball team advanced to the AMCC Tournament. In their Nov. 7 match against Penn State Altoona, they lost the Quarterfinal 3-0.
Men’s Soccer
Thanks to their win against La Roche University Nov. 2, the Baron soccer team members advanced to the AMCC semifinals and lost in a hard-fought game Nov. 6 against Medaille College, 1-0. With 13 victories this fall, the team set a school record for the most wins in one season.
Women’s Soccer
The Lady Barons finished their season Nov. 3 with a loss against Mount Aloysius College, 1-0. The women’s soccer team had eight wins this season, with four wins in the AMCC conference.
