Trinity Health System and Franciscan University of Steubenville announced a new partnership supporting Franciscan Baron athletic teams Friday, Oct. 22, at a 10 a.m. meeting in the St. Joseph Center.

As a part of the partnership, the new synthetic turf field, completed in fall 2020, has been named Trinity Health System Field.

The field is fully lighted for evening games and has an eight-lane track. Men’s and women’s locker rooms, a new scoreboard and other improvements will soon be added during phase two of the project.

Trinity Health System Field is used by Franciscan’s NCAA men’s and women’s soccer, lacrosse and track and field teams. The field is also to be used for local community events.
