The Lady Barons started the first set by quickly closing a point gap and bringing the score to 9-7. The Yellow Jackets conceded several points to the Lady Barons due to impenetrable kills from freshman right side Brynn Jacobson and senior outside hitter Renee Antonelli.

Despite the Lady Barons’ endeavors to present a formidable offense, the Yellow Jackets won the first set 25-22.

The Yellow Jackets led the second set 3-0, but the Lady Barons stole their thunder with the help of miscalculated serves from the Yellow Jackets and unrivaled net defense from freshman middle hitter Lucy Pridemore.

Jacobson performed one final kill to reach game point with a score of 25-21, a win for the Lady Barons.
